I have decided to challenge myself by participating in the National Poetry Writing Month 2018 (NaPoWriMo). That means I will be attempting to write a poem a day, in response to daily prompts, throughout the month of April. I have joined a Facebook group, led by writer/editor/poet/sometime academic/mother/great challenger, Rebecca Bratten Weiss. Weiss is giving workshop participants our own daily challenges.
I have no idea what will come of this, but I’m pretty sure not all will be related to my faith. However, I will be posting them all here, using the category tag, NaPoWriMo 2018.
Being the early over-achiever type (and sometimes, alas, the later pooping out type), I ended up writing two poems on the first day, Easter Sunday, April 1.
Here’s hoping I am not this year’s biggest April’s Fool.
